SCC is Your Place to ROAR!

When it comes to starting college and selecting a degree you might have a few questions, and we are here to help you get started. Academic Advisors are here to help you get started in courses and answer any questions you might have.

Looking for a bit more information? SCC's orientation is a half-day experience for students preparing to start their first semester. If you are looking to learn more about financial aid and what it means to be a student as SCC, Cougar ROAR is a great option for you! Students participating in the orientation will still receive assistance from Academic Advisors in registering for courses.

Parent/Family members: Family members are welcome to join students at Cougar ROAR or by walking in to the Academic Advising office. Based on space, we recommend a max of 2 family members per student. During this time we will be working directly with the student to answer questions, but we're also here to help answer questions family members might have.

First-Time Freshmen students must meet with an Academic Advisor to register for their first semester of courses. If you are interested in meeting with an Academic Advisor without attending Cougar ROAR, you can do so by walking into the Academic Advising office.
