Masks Welcome

On Monday, Feb. 28, SCC transitioned to a "Masks Welcome" policy.  Following the CDC's new guidance based on , masks will no longer be required on campus, but we will respect the personal choice of those that continue to wear masks.

The new COVID-19 Community Level guidance, provides levels of Low, Medium, and High based on hospital beds being used, hospital admissions, and total number of new COVID-19 cases.  St. Charles County, and the surrounding communities, are currently at the medium level.

At the medium level, the CDC suggests the following prevention steps should be taken:

  • If you are , talk to your healthcare provider about whether you need to wear a mask and take other precautions
  • Stay  with COVID-19 vaccines
  •  if you have symptoms

Individuals may choose to wear a mask at any time.  People with symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should wear a mask.

SCC will continue to monitor the CDC guidance and the COVID-19 Community Levels for St. Charles County.  Policies regarding masks on campus may change if the situation in our community changes.  Please visit for the most up to date guidance.
